TempGun was founded in 1998 by Chad Brown and Robyn Markland of Pro Exotics Reptiles.

As one of the largest and most respected reptile breeders in the country, Chad and Robyn needed a cost-effective and accurate way to measure temperatures in their animal environments. No tools existed that fully met their needs, so they built their own. And the first TempGun was born.

More than 100,000 TempGuns have since been sold, and TempGuns are now considered must-have tools in reptile husbandry, RC hobbies and many other fields.
